The radioluminescence and dose rate response of LaMgAl11O19 doped with rare earth single crystals were investigated. All the samples showed emission peaks at wavelengths longer than 800 nm corresponding to doped trivalent rare-earth ions. Among the prepared samples, the Nd-doped sample showed the best lower detection limit of 1.6 mGy/h, enabling highly sensitive dose measurement.
