Cadmium-rich borate glasses doped with different Nd concentrations were synthesized by the conventional melt-quenching technique, and their photoluminescence (PL) and scintillation properties were investigated. They exhibited PL and scintillation in the near-infrared region, originating from Nd3+. The 3.0% Nd-doped sample exhibited the highest scintillation intensity among all the samples, with a lower detection limit of 7.5 mGy/h.
