In this study, we evaluated the heart-rate-independent performance of major corrected QT (QTc) interval correction formulas—Bazett, Fridericia, and Sagie—using electrocardiogram (ECG) waveforms collected at controlled heart rates (HRs) of 40, 60, 80, and 120 bpm. After converting raw hexadecimal ECG data into standardized signals, QT and RR intervals were extracted and QTc was computed separately for each formula. Empirical analysis showed that Fridericia formula provides the most stable, HR-independent QTc values, whereas Bazett formula displays pronounced HR-dependent distortion. These findings indicate that Fridericia is the most reliable correction method for ECG-based diabetes risk prediction, offering improved sensitivity and specificity for machine learning models.
